Who is
khadijah?
He is
Khadija r.a, a widow, noble, wealthy, beautiful and wise woman. He is respected
by the people of Quraysh in particular, and the Arabs in general. As an
entrepreneur, he provides much help and capital to merchants or induces people
to represent his business affairs abroad.
A lot of
Quraish's youth wanted to marry her and be able to pay whatever dow she wanted,
but she always refused it gently because no one pleased her.
Dreaming to
see the sun down to his house
One night he
dreamed of seeing the sun coming down from the sky, coming into his house and
emitting its light evenly all over the place so there was not a house in the
city of Makkah that escaped from its rays.
The dream
was told to his cousin named Waraqah bin Naufal. He is a man of old age, an expert
in dreams and experts about the history of ancient nations. Waraqa also has
extensive knowledge in religion brought by previous prophets.
Waraqa said:
"The takwil of your dream is that you will marry someday with an end-time
prophet." "The prophet comes from which country?" Khadija asked
earnestly. "From this city of Makkah!" Waraqah said shortly.
"From which tribe?" "From the Quraish tribe as well."
Khadijah asked further: "From which family?" "From the family of
Bani Hashim, a respectable family," Waraqah said in a comforting tone.
Khadijah paused, then impatiently passed the last question: "What is the
name of the great man, my cousin?" The old man asserted: "His name is
Muhammad SAW. He'll be your husband! "
Khadijah
came home with a great feeling of excitement. Never had he felt such great joy.
So since then Khadija always wait from where the future emergence of the
leader.
Application
of khadijah to Rasulullah s.a.w
Muhammad
Al-Amiin appeared at Khadijah's house. The businesswoman said
Khadijah:
"Hi Al-Amiin, tell me what you need!" (Her voice is friendly,
generous tone, with humble attitude but knows her self-esteem)
Muhammad SAW
speaks straight, frankly, though somewhat shy but for sure.
Muhammad
SAW: "We and my family need a living from my part in a commercial
entourage. Our family desperately needs it to find a match for their orphaned
siblings "
(His head
was bowed, and the lady of the reporter looked at him with great amazement)
Khadija:
"Oh, is that ...! Muhammad, that wage is little, does not produce anything
for you to cover the purposes you intend, ". "But let me, myself,
find a wife for you." (He paused, examined).
It then
proceeds with compelling and intuitive sound pressure
Khadijah:
"I want to marry you to a woman of Arab nobility. He was good, rich,
wanted by many kings and great Arabs and foreigners, but he refused. It's my
duty to take you ".
Khadijah
(Khadijah downcast and then continued): "But alas, there is a disgrace
...! She had been married. If you want, then he will be a pengkhidmat and
devoted to you ".
The youth of
Al-Amiin did not answer. They are both silent, both stuck in their respective
thoughts. One needs the answer, the other does not know what to answer. Khadija
r.a could not know what was hidden in the heart of the young Bani Hashim, a
young man famous for the title of Al-Amiin (honest). The youth of Al-Amiin may
not even know who the candidate is referring to by Khadija r.a.
Rasulullah
SAW asked permission to go home without any decision left. He told his uncle.
Rasulullah
SAW: "I feel very offended by the words of Khadija r.a. It was as if he
was looking lightly at this and that "and so ..." He repeated what
the rich woman said.
'Atiqah was
also angry at the news. She was a woman who quickly became angry when her judges
offended the honor of Bani Hashim. He said: "Muhammad, if so, I will come
to him".
'Atiqah
arrives at the house of Khadija r.a and continues to admonish it:
"Khadija, if you have wealth and nobility, then we also have glory and
nobility. Why are you insulting my son, my brother Muhammad's son? "
Khadija r.a
was surprised to hear it. He did not suspect that his words would be considered
an insult. He stands to reconcile and reconcile the hearts of 'Atiqah:
Khadijah:
"Who is able to insult your descendants and your tribe? Let me tell you
that I am the one who I mean to Muhammad SAW. If he wants, I'm willing to marry
him; If not, I promise not to marry to death ".
Kadi's
honest statement of sincerity makes' Atiqah speechless. The two noble ladies
were equally bright. Conversation becomes serious. "But Khadija, is your
heart's voice known to your cousin Waraqah bin Naufal?" Atiqah asked as he
continued: "If you have not yet tried to get his approval." "He
does not know yet, but tell your brother Abu Talib to have a simple banquet. A
drinking banquet, where my cousin was invited, and there was an application
counsel ", Khadija r.a said as if to arrange a strategy. He was sure
Waraqah would not mind because he interpreted his dream of marrying an end-time
prophet.
'Atiqah came
home feeling calm, satisfied. The beloved beloved bud arrived. He immediately
conveyed the good news to his brothers: Abu Talib, Abu Lahab, Abbas and Hamzah.
All cheerfully welcomed the results Atiqah's encounter with Khadijah
"That's great," Abu Talib said, "but we must consult with
Muhammad SAW first."
Khadija is
beautiful
Before being
invited to deliberation, then first he has also received a woman named Nafisah,
envoy Khadijah r.a who came to establish a familial relationship. Khadija's private
envoy asked:
Nafisa:
"Muhammad, why are you still not thinking of looking for a wife?"
Muhammad SAW
replied: "Desire exists, but the ability does not yet exist."
Nafisah
"What if somebody wants to make a living? Then you have a good wife,
beautiful, treasure, nation and sekufu also with you, whether you will reject
it? "
Rasulullah
SAW: "Who is he?" Asked Muhammad SAW.
Nafisa:
"Khadijah!" Nafisa was straightforward. "As long as you are
willing, everything is perfect. The affairs leave it to me! "
Nafisah's
efforts succeeded. He left the main son of Bani Hashim and went directly to
Khadija r.a, recounting the willingness of Muhammad SAW. After Muhammad SAW
received notice from his brothers about the outcome of the meeting with Khadija
r.a, then you do not mind getting a widow who is fifteen years older than him.
How
disagreeing, what is less to Khadija? She was a noble woman, beautiful,
wealthy, wise. And the main thing because his heart has opened God to love him,
has been destined to be arranged with him. If a widow says, so be it! She was a
forty-year-old widow, but a fresh widow, slender, fair-skinned and
eye-catching. So the majlis was full of beauty.
Present Waraqah
bin Naufal and some prominent Arabs who were deliberately picked up. Abu Talib
officially proposed Khadija r.a to his cousin. The wise old man agreed. But he
asks for periods to negotiate with the women concerned.
Muhammad's
marriage to Khadija
Khadija r.a
asked opinion. Honestly he said to Waraqah: "O my cousin boy, how I will
reject Muhammad SAW when he is very trustworthy, has a noble personality, glory
and descendant of nobility, and also his familial kinship". "It's
true you say, Khadija, it's just that he is not treasure", Waraqah said.
"If he is not wealthy, then I am quite treasure. I do not need a man. I
represent you to marry me to him, "Khadija r.a gave her affair.
Waraqah bin
Naufal returned to Abu Talib preaching that from the family side of women has
been unanimous consent and blessing the marriage of the bride. Applications
received with the consent of dowry five hundred dirhams. Abu Bakr raa, who
later received the title "Ash-Shiddiq", a close friend of Muhammad
SAW. From childhood, to donating beautiful Egyptian garments, which symbolize
the Quraish's nationality, as it is to be used in the marriage ceremonies of
marriage, especially since the one to marry is a noble and noble as well.
The marriage
of Muhammad SAW with Khadija r.a took place on Friday, two months after
returning from a commercial journey to the land of Sham. Acting as guardian of
Khadija r.a is his uncle named 'Amir bin Asad.
Waraqah bin
Naufal read aloud the wedding sermon, greeted by Abu Talib as follows:
"Alhamdu Lillaah, praise be to Allah Who created us descendants (Prophet)
Ibrahim, the seed (Prophet) Ismail, the son of Ma'ad, of the descendants of
Mudhar. "Likewise we praise Allah Almighty Who keeps us guardians of His
house, the guardian of His secure Haram Land, and makes us judge against our
fellow human beings.
"Verily,
my son, Muhammad bin Abdullah, if he is to be weighed with any man, he will be
heavier than all of them. Although he does not have property, but the treasure
is a shadow that will disappear and something that will be fast Gone. But
Muhammad SAW, you already know who he is. He had proposed Khadija bint
Khuwailid. He will give the dowry five hundred dirhams he will soon pay with
cash from my own property and my brothers.
"By
Allah SWT, in fact I have a feeling about him that after this, in the future,
he will get good news (albasyaarah) and great experiences. "May Allah
bless this marriage". The welcome to enliven the wedding majlis was very
festive at the home of the bride. Dozens of sons and daughters stood marching
in the right door along the passageway through the groom, greeting the
bridegroom and scattering the guests and attendants.
After the
ceremony and the guests broke up, Khadijah r.a opened her heart to her husband
with the words: "O Al-Amiin, cheer up! All these treasures, both movable
and immovable, consisting of buildings, houses, merchandise, slaves are yours.
You are free to spend it on which path you redhai! "
That is as
the Word of Allah SWT intends: "And He (Allah) finds you as a deficiency,
then He gives wealth". (Adh-Dhuhaa: 8)
How happy
the two noble spouses, living as husband and wife sekufu, halaluan, harmonious
and ambition.
Guaranteed
Entrance Heaven
Khadija r.a
accompanied Muhammad SAW. For twenty-six years, ie sixteen years before being
inducted into the Prophet, and ten years after the time of prophethood. He was
a single wife, unequivocal, divorced by death. The year of his death was called
"The Year of Sadness" ('Aamul Huzni).
Khadija r.a
was the first person to believe in Rasulullah SAW. When the first revelation
came down from the sky. No one preceded it. When Rasulullah SAW recounted his
experience on the event of the first revelation of Jibril 'alaihissalam, where
he feels fear and shivers witnessing the form of Gabriel a.s in his original
form, then Khadijah was the first to understand the meaning of the event and
comfort him, saying:
"Rejoice
and be at ease in your heart. By Allah Almighty who ruled Khadija r.a, thou
this truly will be the Messenger of Allah for our people. "Allah SWT will
not disappoint you. Are not you the one who always strives to connect the ropes
of brotherhood? Are not you always telling the truth? Do not you always take
care of orphans, honor guests and extend help to everyone who suffers misfortune
and misfortune? "
Khadija r.a
defends her husband with her wealth and self in upholding the kalimah of
tawheed, and always comforts her in the sorrow she suffers from the disturbance
of her people who still disbelieve against the truth of Islam, deflect all the
attacks of verbal abuse launched by the nobles and the Quraish's. It is worth
it if Khadija r.a gets special privileges that other women do not have, that
is, receiving greetings from Allah SWT. Delivered by the angel Gabriel a.s to
Rasulullah SAW. Accompanied by greetings from Jibril a.s personal to be
conveyed to Khadijah radiallahu 'anha and comforted with heaven.
Khadija's
loyalty was balanced by the love of the Prophet (s) to him unlimitedly. The
Prophet SAW once said: "The first and the first woman to enter Paradise is
Khadijah bint Khuwailid, Fatimah bint Muhammad SAW, Maryam bint 'Imran and
Asyiah bint Muzaahim, Pharaoh's wife".
Best woman
Another
praise that many times spoken Rasulullah SAW. To Khadija's personality is:
"She is the best woman, because she has believed and believed me when
others are still in doubt, she has justified me when others denied me; He has
sacrificed all his possessions when others prevent his generosity from me; And
he bore me sons and daughters whom I have not acquired from the other wives.
"
The sons of
Rasulullah SAW. From Khadija raa as many as seven people: three men (all died
in childhood) and four women. One of his daughters was Fatimah, married to Ali
ibn Abu Talib, together with the tribe of Bani Hashim. The descendants of these
two couples are regarded as the direct descendants of the Prophet Muhammad.
Khadijah's
struggle
When the
Prophet (SAS) encountered obstacles and disturbance from the men of Quraysh,
then beside him stood two women. The two women stood behind the da'wah of
Islamiah, supporting and working hard to serve their leader, Muhammad SAW:
Khadijah bin Khuwailid and Fatimah bint Asad. Therefore Khadijah has the right
to be the best woman in the world. How not to be like that, he is Ummul
Mu'minin, the best of wives and good example for those who follow his example.
Khadija
prepared a comfortable home for the Prophet (s) before he was appointed Prophet
and helped him while reflecting in Hira 'Cave. Khadija was the first woman to
believe in her when the Prophet (s) prayed to her Lord. Khadija is the best
woman who helps her with her soul, possessions and family. His life fairy is
fragrant, his life is full of virtue and his soul is full of goodness.
Rasulullah
SAW said: "Khadija believed me when people disbelieved, he justified me
when people denied him and he helped me with his property when people did not
give me anything."
Why do we
bother looking for examples here and there, whereas in front of us there is
"the best woman in the world," Khadijah bint Khuwailid, faithful and
obedient Umm al-Mu'minin, who mingles well with her husband and helps her in
seclusion before being appointed The Prophet and confirm and justify it.
Khadijah
precedes everyone in faith in his message, and helps him and the Muslims with
their souls, possessions and family. So Allah SWT replied to his religion and
His Prophet with the best reward and gave him pleasure and pleasure in his
palace, as told Prophet SAW, to him in his lifetime.
When Gabriel
A.S. Came to the Prophet SAW, he said: "O Messenger of Allah, this is
Khadija has come bringing a container of sauce and food or drink. When he comes
to you, convey greetings to him from his Lord and me, and tell him about a
house in heaven from a pearl that has no noise in it and no tiredness.
"[HR. Bukhari in "Fadhaail Ashhaabin Prophet SAW. Imam Adz-Dzahabi
said: "Keshahihan has been agreed upon."]
Is not this
palace better than the palaces of the world, hi, the people who are deceived by
the world? Sayidah Khadija r.a. Was the first woman to join the entourage of
the Mu'min who was the first to believe in Allah after the Prophet (s). Khadija
r.a. Carrying a banner with the Prophet from the first moment, jihad and work
hard. He spent his wealth and hostile to his people. He stands behind his
husband and his Prophet until his last breath, and deserves to be the ultimate
example for women.
Imagine,
because Khadija r.a. Is prophet of the Prophet (s) from the beginning of
prophethood. Ar-Ruuhul Amiin had come down to him first in a cave in the
mountains, then told him to read the noble verses of Scripture, as desired by
Allah Almighty. Then he appeared in his way, between heaven and earth. He did
not turn right or left so that the Prophet saw him, then he stopped, did not go
forward and did not retreat. All that happened when the Prophet was among the
mountain streets in a state of loneliness, no entertainers, friends, helpers
and helpers.
The Prophet
(s) remained in such an attitude until the angel left him. Then he went to
Khadija in fear of the consequences he heard and saw. When he saw it, Khadijah
said: "Where are you, O Abal Qasim? By Allah, I have sent several
messengers to search for you until they arrive in Mecca, then return to me.
"So the Prophet SAW told his story to Khadija r.a.
Khadija r.a.
Said: "Rejoice and be steadfast, O, my uncle's son. By Allah Who rules
over my life, I wish you Become the Prophet of this people. "The Prophet
did not get from him, except for the reign of his heart, his joy for himself
and support for his affairs. Prophet SAW never got from him something sad,
either in the form of rejection, lie, ridicule against him or avoidance of him.
But Khadijah stretched out her chest, wiping out her sadness, cooling her heart
and lightening her affairs. Thus should the ideal woman.
That is he,
Khadija r.a., whom Allah Almighty has sent his greetings to him. Then down
Jibril U.S. Delivered the greeting to Rasul SAW while saying to him:
"Convey to Khadijah greetings from his Lord. Then Rasulullah SAW said:
"O Khadija, this is Gabriel delivering greetings to you from your
Lord." Then Khadija r.a. Replied: "The God who sends greetings
(prosperity), from Him comes the greeting (prosperity), and to Jibril may be
given the salutation (welfare)."
Indeed, he
is a position no one among the first and first converts to Islam and the
rashidine khulafaq. This is due to the attitude of Khadija r.a. At the first
moment is greater and greater than all the attitudes that support the
proselytization afterwards. Indeed Khadija r.a. Is a great blessing of Allah to
the Prophet Muhammad. Khadija accompanied the Prophet for a quarter of a
century, doing good to him when he was anxious, helping him in difficult times,
helping him in his message, participating in the painful jihad and helping him
with his soul and his wealth.
Rasulullah
SAW said: "Khadija believed in me when people deny. He justifies me when
people belie. And he gave his treasure to me when people did not give me
anything. Allah granted me a son from him and forbids me a son from besides
him. "[HR. Imam Ahmad in his "Musnad", 6/118]
Narrated in
saheeh hadeeth, from Abu Hurairah r.a., he said: "Gabriel came to the
Prophet (s), then said:" O Messenger of Allah, this Khadija has come
bringing a container of sauce, food or drink. When he comes to you, convey to
him his greetings from his Lord and tell him about a house in heaven, (made)
from a pearl that has no noise in it and nothing to wear. "[Sahih Bukhari,
Chapter of the Prophet's Marriage with Khadijah and His Virtue, 1/539]
