PATIENCE
Narrated, every time the Prophet SAW pass in
front of the house of an elderly woman, he always spit by the old woman. One
day, as the Prophet SAW passed the old lady's house, she did not meet her. Out
of curiosity, he asked someone about the old woman. Precisely the person who was
asked was surprised, why he asked about the old woman who had been bad for him.
After that the Prophet SAW get the answer
that the old woman who used to spit it was actually falling ill. Instead of
being happy, he decided to visit him. The old lady did not expect the Prophet
to visit her.
When the old lady realized that the man who
visited her was the one who always spit on her every time she passed her house,
she cried in her heart, "Duhai how noble is this man. Although I spit
every day, he was the first to visit me. "
With tears of joy and happiness, the old lady
then asked, "O Muhammad, why are you visiting me, but every day I spit on
you?"
Prophet SAW replied, "I'm sure you spit
on me because you do not know about my righteousness. If you already know, I'm
sure you will not. "
Hearing the wise answers from the Prophet,
the old woman was crying in the heart. Her chest was tight, her throat
tightening. Then, with full awareness, he said, "O Muhammad, from now on I
testify to follow your religion." Then the old lady made two creeds,
"I testify that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad
is the messenger of Allah."
Thus one of the examples of the patience of
Prophet Muhammad SAW is truly amazing and full of exemplary values. Prophet SAW
never avenge the ugliness of the one who hurt him with evil again, but the
Prophet actually forgave him.
"In the verse is said, patience is
bitter as the name suggests, but the result is sweeter than honey. There are
still many stories about the Prophet's other patience that should continue to
be explored, then socialized, and subsequently emulated. "
Hopefully we can imitate his tremendous
nature.
