FIRMAN Allah
SWT:
"And
with Joseph go inside the prison two young men."
(Yusuf: 36)
The two men
who entered the prison were the king's cook and the king's cook. While it was
the king who was "Royyaan."
The reason
for the inclusion of two young men into prison was because the two young men
had received a bribe from the king of Rome with the task of giving poison in
Royyaan's food and drink.
The cook
accepts the bribe. Meanwhile the craftsman gave the king water refused the
offer of the king of Rome, and reported to the king about the treachery done by
the cook. But the watermelon was also put into prison with the cook.
They were in
prison for about three days. In prison, they both saw the Prophet Joseph like
to make judgments about dreams. To try the truth of the interpretation or
assessment of Joseph as they say as if they were dreaming, but in fact they
just lie.
Some ulamak
say that the carpenter gives a drink of the king really dreams while the cook
does not dream at all. The king's drinker said: "I dreamed as if I had
seen three cups or bowls of gold, I squeezed the wine and put into the
container. Then I made khamar and I gave Royyaan king.
The cook of
the king also said: "I dreamed as though I were carrying a basket of bread
on my head, and the birds ate the loaves."
Then Prophet
Yusuf as predicting his second dream. He said: "O my two friends, as one
of you will give a drink to his master in wine, and the other one will be on
the cross."
After the
Prophet Yusuf had finished predicting their dreams, one of them said:
"Verily I am not dreaming." So the Prophet Joseph replied: "I have
predicted your dreams and even been set by Allah SWT.
The word
Allah SWT means:
"It was
decided that you both asked me."
(Yusuf: 41)
Not long
after that, the king's servants brought the chef, then they crossed. After the
cook was crucified, the craftsman left the king in prison for three days. Then
the king's messenger came out of the prison, dressed in beautiful clothes, and
brought to the king with all due honor.
When the
craftsmen gave the king's drink out, the Prophet Joseph said: "Explain
this to me your lord." When Joseph said so, the mountains shook and
Gabriel came down and said:
"O
Yusuf, indeed Allah SWT asks you: Who makes love in Ya'kub's heart towards you?
Joseph answered; "My god". Gabriel asked: Who saved you from the
deceit of your brothers? Joseph answered; My god. Who has kept you in the well?
Joseph answered; My god. Who makes Zulaikha feel about you? Joseph answered; My
god. Then Gabriel asked: Who has saved you from Zulaikha's deceit? Joseph
answered; My god. "
Next Gabriel
said: "O Joseph, indeed Allah has made this good for you. And where do you
see that there is no God, that you ask for help to others? O Yusuf, your
grandfather Abraham did not want to help Jibril when he was to be thrown into
the fire by Namruz. At that time I said to him: "Do you need help, O
Ibrahim? Then he said: To you, I did not seek help.
So is your
grandfather Ismail, he did not ask for any help from his father Ibrahim, when
he was to be sacrificed. But he simply said: "God willing you will get me
among those who are patient."
"But
you, Joseph, have been in prison for three days, have been impatient, so that
you seek help from the king."
So prostrate
before the Prophet Joseph. To Allah SWT, and weeping for forty days. "Ya
Allah, for the honor of my grandfather Ibrahim as and Ismail as and Isaac as
and for my father Ya'kub as mercy for me and forgive me my fault."
Then
descended Jibrail as he met Joseph Yusuf as and said:
"Verily,
Allah SWT says:" I have forgiven you, but God gave you punishment by
living in prison for another seven years. "
